Subaru Impreza WRC - 2007 Portugal

Alright! Here is rally great Petter Solberg in Portugal last spring. I think it is a beautiful photo with the dirt/sky/world rally blue Subaru WRC car contrasting very nicely.

You may wonder...why this photo? One word: RALLY. The finest, most intense sport devised by a civilization terminally hooked on entertainment and consumption. I despise car culture for the monumental drain of resource/time/life that it truly is but I love cars. Good cars driven way too fast on really bad roads. In the realm of motorsports, World Rally makes NASCAR look like the WWF.

Life long learning

The most difficult of the 7.5 habits of life long learners is, for me, goal setting. It seems that the direction I am trying to head in in any sphere of life can change daily, hourly. What seems desirable at 8 am is often different by 6 pm.

The easiest habit is for me to view myself as "a competent, effective learner". Learning how to do something comes much easier than convincing myself of the benefits or justifying the reasons behind actually doing something.
